Harlingen Sunburst Rotary Club

Rotary International is over 100 years old. Rotary started with the vision of one man — Paul Harris. The Chicago attorney formed the Rotary Club of Chicago on 23 February 1905, so professionals with diverse backgrounds could exchange ideas and form meaningful, lifelong friendships.

Over time, Rotary’s reach and vision gradually extended to humanitarian service. Members have a long track record of addressing challenges in their communities and around the world.

This initiative is entirely volunteer-based, which means it’s dependent on caring people who believe in the goals of the club who are willing to give up their own time, and other supporters who are willing to donate resources to keep us going. 

Harlingen Sunburst Rotary Club was chartered back in 1926. While our club focuses on improving our local community, we are an extension of Rotary International and therefore help with Rotary International’s projects happening around the world.

Our members span the globe, working to solve some the world’s most challenging problems. We promote peace within and across cultures, fight disease, provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene, improve maternal health, support education, grow local economies, and tackle environmental issues.

With every project, we’re changing the world for the better.

Meeting Details

We have our regular morning meetings at 7 A.M. on Thursday mornings. The public is welcomed to join us the first and second Thursday every month for these early bird meetings.

Meeting Location: Tony Butler Golf Course Pro Shop, 2640 Gold Course Drive, Harlingen, TX 78550

During the third week we volunteer individually or as a group. Details are subject to change each month.

The fourth Thursday of the month we meet for an evening social. Details are subject to change each month.
