When you give to the Harlingen Sunburst Rotary Club, you fuel our service projects – projects that improve the health equity of the community, promote peace, and provide service to others.

Donations are used to provide scholarships to high school seniors seeking higher education, provide small and large grants to local nonprofits in the Harlingen area, complete community improvement projects, and keep our club operations going year after year. Empowering the Next Generation Through Education

For over 20 years, the Harlingen Sunburst Rotary Club has proudly hosted our Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament, dedicated to supporting the academic dreams of high school seniors in our community. This event is our largest fundraiser, with all proceeds going directly toward scholarships for deserving students. Each year, we are able to award 10-12 scholarships of $1,000 each, helping young people in Harlingen take their first steps toward a brighter future.

The Harlingen Sunburst Rotary Club’s Liquor Raffle is a fantastic way to support our smaller community sponsorships. Funds raised allow us to contribute to various local nonprofits, ensuring that our impact reaches all corners of our community. Although this is a smaller fundraiser, its impact is significant—helping us say “yes” to more opportunities to support local initiatives.

For only $10 per ticket, you’ll have the chance to win a selection of top-shelf spirits. With two lucky winners, each taking home 10 bottles, the odds of winning something spectacular are even better!

Tickets are available through our club members and at local events. Every ticket purchased helps support our efforts to uplift and empower local organizations that are making a difference.

Supporting Women, Strengthening Families

The Annual Wine & Women Golf Tournament is a unique event where fun meets philanthropy. All proceeds from this event are donated to a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting women and their families. In past years, we’ve proudly supported the Family Crisis Center here in Harlingen, with donations averaging around $4,000. Now in its third year, this tournament has quickly become a favorite, combining a love for golf with a mission to make a positive impact on our community.
